Think But A Thought! - a children's book
People have often said that there is a little bit of magic in our store in South Berwick, Maine. It's not only been said about the store but even more so about our town in general. When I finished writing Think But A Thought! my next notion was that I needed to find an artist to illustrate the book. That very same day I was working in the store and one of our artists came in with new inventory. We began talking much about nothing and somehow it came up that one of the items on his bucket list was to illustrate a children's book.
I smiled and told him that he could cross that item off his list. Another year went by, and oddly enough with gratitude to COVID, we finished the project and self published the book with sixteen original illustrations! Since January 13th, Think But A Thought! has appeared in The New York Times, is being sold on Target online, and read on our local theatre stage at The Seacoast Repertory Theatre. We have received numerous photos of children reading the book and stories of how the book has traveled around the world.
Roger L. Morin is an amazing artist and we have sold his watercolors at A Little Something since we first opened four years ago. I am incredibly thankful to now have created this beautiful book with him and looking forward to creating future books in the series. His work has been a favorite in the store and now fans of the book are enjoying his illustrations, especially of the favorite local landscapes.
